Muscat – June 30, 2026: Liva Insurance has launched a community initiative to renovate the children’s outpatient waiting area at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, implemented in collaboration with the Zakat Al Seeb Committee. The initiative aims to create a more welcoming, engaging, and child-friendly environment for young patients and their families while enhancing their overall hospital experience.

The launch event was attended by Hanaa Al Hinai, CEO of Liva Insurance; Dr. Saif Al Ghafri, Deputy Director General at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital; and Nasser Al Jabri, Board Member of the Zakat Al Seeb Committee, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting children’s well-being through meaningful community partnerships.

Beyond medical care, the initiative focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment for children during hospital visits. The renovated waiting area includes colourful wall artwork, a dedicated games and activity room, digital learning facilities, as well as interactive toys and play elements tailored for children of different age groups. These enhancements are designed to provide comfort, engagement, and moments of joy for children and their families while visiting the hospital.

Speaking at the launch, Hanaa Al Hinai, Chief Executive Officer of Liva Insurance, said, "At Liva Insurance, we believe insurance is ultimately about people — standing beside individuals and families in moments when support matters most. Every child deserves an environment that brings comfort, positivity, and a sense of normalcy during hospital visits. We are proud to contribute to an initiative that supports young patients, their families, and the healthcare professionals who care for them every day."

The initiative forms part of Liva Insurance’s broader CSR strategy, focused on advancing healthcare, community well-being, and sustainable social impact initiatives across Oman. It was welcomed by representatives from the Zakat Al Seeb Committee and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, who highlighted the importance of collaborative community efforts in supporting patients and families throughout treatment and recovery.
