Specialty coffee house Azura has been awarded second place globally in the People’s Choice Coffee Awards by FLTR Magazine, marking a defining international moment in its continued ascent within the global specialty coffee landscape. Coffee enthusiasts from 45 countries participated in the public voting process, with coffee houses from 12 countries represented among the global top 20. Azura was the only coffee house from Oman to earn a place on the list.

This recognition follows its earlier ranking at No. 68 in The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2026, positioning Azura among a select group of globally recognised coffee destinations and signalling its growing presence within contemporary coffee culture.

Together, these acknowledgements reflect a brand building global relevance through craft, consistency, and a steadily expanding community of coffee drinkers who engage with its work across borders.

“Being recognised by coffee drinkers around the world is very meaningful to us because Azura has always been built around people,” said Mohammed Behlim, CEO and Co-Founder of Azura - The Coffee Company. “From the beginning, this journey has belonged as much to our guests and team as it does to the brand itself.”

“As we continue to grow, our focus is to refine our craft, strengthen our roasting capability, invest in our people, and deepen our relationships across the coffee value chain. We do not see recognition as a destination, but as a responsibility to keep evolving.”

Azura’s presence within the international specialty coffee community continues to expand through participation in leading global forums, including World of Coffee Bangkok, World of Coffee Europe in Brussels, and an upcoming engagement in Beijing, fostering dialogue, exchange, and connection across the industry.

Founded in Muscat, Azura sources coffees from distinguished coffee-producing regions around the world and roasts them in Oman. Its identity is shaped by a balance of precision-led coffee craft and a hospitality philosophy rooted in Oman, expressed through a focus on quality and experience in every cup.

As the specialty coffee world becomes increasingly interconnected, Azura represents a new generation of coffee houses: brands defined by perspective, discipline, and intent.

From a single café in Muscat to a growing presence, Azura’s trajectory reflects a simple ambition: to stand not as a regional story, but as a globally relevant house of coffee shaped by craft, community, and continuous refinement.
